Wiediantoro was born in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, in 1951. He is a contemporary artist working with mixed media, with pen as a central element in his practice. Through detailed yet spontaneous mark-making, he creates dynamic compositions that reflect personal experiences and his surrounding environment. His works invite open interpretation, offering a balance between structure and freedom, as well as control and intuition.

1971 to 1974 Studied at STSRI/ASRI Yogyakarta.

1981 Worked at Gramedia Film, Jakarta.

Since 1985 Affiliated with Bentara Budaya, Jakarta.
